Suprasorb A, Calcium Alginate Dressing 

Suprasorb A is made from natural alginate fibres with good capacity for absorbing exudate; for the care of wounds with a heavy discharge such as leg ulcers and fresh skin donor sites; also for infected wounds. 

Bacteria contained in the exudate are bound in the gel. The wound is kept constantly moist under Suprasorb A, epithelial tissue can form well, and the wound healing process is accelerated by the ideal microclimate. 

Suprasorb A does not stick to the wound, the new tissue is not damaged when the dressing is changed, and the healing process is not interrupt. The large amount of discharge absorbed allows dressings to be changed less frequently- depending on the type of wound and the amount of discharge, the calcium alginate dressing may be left on the wound for up to 7 days. 

Deep wounds and wound cavities are treated using Suprasorb A rope.
