Suprasorb M, Semi-occlusive Wound Dressing

Extremely flexible, elastic dressing, designed for moist wound care; for the treatment of superficial wounds such as abrasions, skin donor sites and dermabrasions with light exudation, or of problem wounds like leg ulcers, decubitus ulcers and diabetic feet. Furthermore, Suprasorb M can also be used as a secondary dressing in calcium alginate therapies. The membran consists of polyurethane. On the wound side the pores are large and open in order to absorb exudate as efficiently as possible. The fined pored surface is impermeable to microorganisms and liquids, but the evaporation of water vapour from the skin is not impeded. The skin-friendly acrylate adhesive adheres to healthy skin but not to the wound. Suprasorb M satisfies all the requirements of a dressing used in moist wound management. The optimum ratio between g changes and consequently a cost reduction. The semipermeable polyurethane carrier film protects reliably against microorganisms and moisture, yet allowing the exchange of gases so that excess water vapour can escape.
